Kindergarten Information Update

On Wednesday the 12th August our annual Kindergarten Information Night was held in the school library. We had an excellent turn out with many new parents and parents with existing students at school attending. It appears that an earlier start and child minding was a winner on the night.

A big thanks to Mrs Baldacchino for co-presenting and to the the teachers who attended to support and help supervise the children who came with their parents.

Just a reminder that an enrolment pack will be posted out to all parents who have expressed a desire to enrol their child for a 2010 start in kindergarten. This pack will include enrolment forms, Kindergarten orientation session information and school uniform options and pricing. We ask that orientation and enrolment forms be returned to school by Friday 23rd October. This will help us with our orientation organisation and staffing requirements for next year.

Enrolments for next year are now being taken. Children turning five on or before July 31st 2010 are eligible to enrol. Enrolment forms are available at the office.

Please let any friends, family or neighbours know.
Proof of age is required eg. birth certificate or passport. You also need to provide a completed Immunisation Form from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register through Medicare.

2010 Kindergarten Information Night

On Wednesday 12th August (Week 3) Albion Park Public School will be again offering an information evening for parents who are or may enroll a child in kindergarten starting 2010. Topics include; Kindergarten readiness, school routines/activities, school uniform, lunch and computers. The information session will be held in the school library from 5.30 to 6.30pm.

Primary Athletics Carnival

Date: Wednesday 29th July

Time: 8.45am start for class rolls to be marked. The carnival finishes at 2.30pm. The first event will start promptly at 9.00am.

Venue: Croom Rd Sports Complex, Albion Park Rail

A canteen will be available at the venue. There will not be a canteen at school.

Sunscreen and hats will be needed.

Term 3 Starts on Tuesday

All students return to school on Tuesday the 28th July. Teachers return on Monday.
